Chinese New Year Eve

Hello!

Do you miss me? :P Just joking, hahaha!

I'm sorry for being super inactive in blogging lately... Homework and preparations for Chinese New Year has got a grab on me. Chinese New Year is just like Christmas for Chinese. We would clean our house thoroughly and buy new clothes, decorations, food etc hence it gets really busy around this time of the year.

Somehow it seems like the mood for Chinese New Year is getting lesser and lesser. Perhaps most people are facing financial difficulties. :(

Anyways, I have mentioned on Facebook that I want to create some looks for Chinese New Year but I haven't got the time to do so yet. :( Today (It's past 12am now) is the day before Chinese New Year. Hopefully I'll have some time to do a tutorial before going out for a reunion dinner with my family. :D

I see a busy week ahead. Though I hope that I'll have time to blog perhaps... every day or every other day? :D

Btw, I'll be getting a new phone soon. My current phone, Sony Ericsson K5510i, would turn off by itself about 3 to 4 times a day. It frustrates me a lot when I'm in a hurry to make a phone call or to SMS someone. I'm planning to change my phone to Samsung Galaxy Ace. Does anyone use it? I've read reviews online and I think that it's a pretty decent phone...

I nearly forgotten to show you my new wig which I got a few weeks ago. It was meant for my Vita cosplay but it didn't arrive on time. Nevertheless, I'm going to show you my new wig! (^^) It's my fourth cosplay wig!

I have already cut the fringe in the pictures. But I won't be styling it until I need it for Vita's cosplay because I'm just too lazy. Hahaha~~

Do you think orange hair suits me? Haha!

I got this wig from Taobao. It's 80cm long heat resistant fibre. I love how it feels like real hair!

Playing around with my new wig~ :P I have another one for Konata Izumi/Wendy Marvell but I need to trim the fringe first... I'll show you when I finally have the urge to trim it off. Ehehe.

School's been okay recently. But I'm still a social awkward penguin. :/

Anyways, Chinese New Year is around the corner and I'm planning to do some last minute shopping before that! Don't you get really hyped up before an important festival? Haha!

I guess that's it for now. Will try to blog whenever I have some free time. (^^)

Last Trip of 2011

I have been slacking off from blogging recently until I realised that I haven't blogged in the year 2012 at all!!! Such terrible blogger I am... (._.)

There have been lots of things going through my mind. Thoughts about life, studies, social etc. Maybe I'm at the point where I trying to move a step up in life? Ah well, shouldn't be ranting now anyways...

Back to the topic, today's post will be on my last trip to Genting Highlands in 2011! Having been there almost every year since I was young, the highlight for this time's trip was because of Mizukitty. Well, that's because she actually came to Malaysia a few weeks ago AND went to Genting Highlands!!! Don't believe me? Here's proof~

That was my outfit for Day 1. Except that I ended up taking off those twintails... Mustard colour tights are very uncommon here and I got lots of comments of being weird. ( ; ;) I really love them though...

On our journey up the mountain, it started raining. We thought it couldn't be that bad, after all it had been sunny for the past few days...

Who knows, the mist was terrible and the outdoor theme park was closed. (- -) What a letdown! It did open back up later the day, but we decided to spend the day indoors.

Pictures above were taken from a monorail ride which brings you outside to view the outdoor theme park. But it was obviously too foggy to take many photos. :(

Weather looking good as we went outside. But after two rides it started raining AGAIN.

Since we paid for the entrance tickets might as well enjoy ourselves as much as we could. So we ended up playing while raining...

Even though most of the rides were closed... :(

I think this was what caused me fever on New Years Eve. It was cold at first plus the rain and wind... I had to borrow my jacket to my friend's younger sister too as she didn't have a hood while it was raining. Everything added up and I got my stupid fever... (- -)

So after getting on the rides that were opened during the rain, we decided to walk around and visited a chocolate house. It was really cute and colourful, as if they ripped it out from one of those bedtime storybooks. Haha!

About 2 hours later the rain finally stopped and we finally get to enjoy the extreme rides. I was forced by my friends to ride on a roller coaster that turns 360 degrees. I closed my eyes throughout the entire thing.

Still! When I got back home I could still imagine the whole ride, when it falls, turns etc and the visual in my head alone made me sick. Why did I even agree on getting on that thing?! What was your worst roller coaster experience?

We pretty much left the theme park after that roller coaster ride and went home. I had lots of fun during this trip but happy moments past so it's time to come back to reality...

School started on Wednesday. It's my last year in high school now! I'm going to work hard and pass my final exam with flying colours!

New Year Resolutions~!

Hello!

I am sick again. (- -) Can't believe that I'm passing the last day of 2011 with fever. If you read what I wrote on my Facebook page or twitter you would've know that the temperature change between Genting Highlands and the rain + wind has done me well. (- -;) More on that in the post about the trip...

I wanted to take a break from blogging today actually but it's the last day of 2011 so I don't want to miss this post. Sorry if I'm writing this post wit lots of errors etc. m(_ _)m

So let's see how much I've accomplished my resolution for 2011~

1. Slim down
Failed... Well, at least I'm maintaining my weight. Ahahahaha..... (^^;)

2. Sleep more
Failed... I'm just too much of an owl.

3. Blog more
Hmm... considering that I've been quite consistent in blogging this year, I think I'll give myself a tick. This resolution will continue for next year too. (^^)

4. Complete my cosplay plans
Out of the three cosplay plans I've planned for 2011, I only managed to tick off 1. But I did an unexpected cosplay (Vita) though.

5. Control my spendings
This was pretty much okay until I started forking out money for my Vita cosplay which was so costly...

6. Learn more Japanese
Yes, another achievement! I'm able to understand more Japanese and speak the language now. Mom promised to send me to a proper language centre to learn the language next year. Yay!

7. Learn more make up skills
Yup, another achievement! Seeing how much I've changed my make up from the beginning of the year I can say that this was really successful!

8. Show more LOVE toward GOD, family and friends
I tried, but I think it's still the same as last year...

9. Reveal more secrets that I hid from my mum
Ticked off. Mom's beginning to accept that I am buying lots of stuff with my money and she's okay with it. (^^)

10. Get myself to be whiter
Done. (^^)

11. Buy stuff on my checklist.
Pretty much checked off all of them. Don't understand why I had this resolution though... (._.)

And that's it for 2011's resolutions. Now for 2012...

1. Score flying colours in SPM
It's the last and major exam for secondary students in Malaysia. It determines your future so I have to work hard to achieve this.

2. COntinue to learn more Japanese
Learning never stops, doesn't it?

3. Achieving clear skin
Lately I've been squeezing the zits and blackheads and that has caused my skin to have some dark spots here and there...

4. Drinking more water
I know this is important, but I've always neglected it. I drink about 1 to 2 cups of water daily...

5. Improving in helping others to make up
Even though I can do make up for myself, I'm still not skillful in helping others to put on make up. Need more practice for this...

6. Improve in fashion coordinate
I think I still need lots of practice in this. I'm not so good in coordinating clothings actually.

7. Better time management
Seriously, I need this. Or else my life would be a jumbled mess.

8. Getting out of my tiny world
Socially Awkward Penguin. I need to be more outgoing and more socialable.

9. Closer to God
I've been skipping church many times this year. I know it's not good to do that so I need to correct myself

Well, I guess that's it for now. I'm sorry for the lack of pictures in this post but I'm seriously blur right now. And I feel like vomiting too... (; ;)

Christmas Decorations around Kuala Lumpur

How was your Christmas?

For me, I spent the whole day with my family instead of sitting in front of my laptop. Hahaha! It was really nice to spend time with them and interact with them. (^^)

I didn't receive much presents this year so I guess I'll skip a boring Christmas Gifts posts. Ehehehehe~

In Malaysia, what really brings up the mood of Christmas are most definitely the gorgeous decorations in the shopping malls. So I thought it would be great to show you some Christmas decorations in Malaysia throught the eyes of a Malaysian. Hahahaha

Pavillion, Kuala Lumpur

I think this year's theme is Sweet Christmas? Since there were lollipops, sweets and cake displays. What impressed me the most was that Merry-go-round which actually works!

KLCC~
I think this year's decorations are pretty bland. The colours were pretty common and there wasn't anything special about it... Maybe just a spinning Santa? (^^;)

Fahrenheit 88

I absolutely love their decorations! It's so classy and romantic! It gives a feeling of being in a magical garden with those illuminations and plants.

However, could this be a spin-off of last year's Pavillion Christmas decorations? Since they had that Gazebo (Is that what it's called?) thingy too...

I only went to three different shopping malls lately and took these photos. Sorry if there were too few (> <;) But I hope you enjoyed viewing these pictures.

I've been going shopping quite often lately for new clothes and shoes in preparation for the upcoming trip and also Chinese New Year which is in a month! Mom is urging me to buy new clothes before the Year End Sales ends. I think I still want to buy more but mom is going to lecture me if I do that. :/

Somehow I prefer passive colour clothings and mom forced me to buy clothes of other colours... (^^;) I told her I can't find much clothes which I like here which are under my affordability. I really want to order clothes online but they are going to cost a bomb with those shipping fees... (._.;)

Sorry for the ranting, I guess I'd better stop now.

Haven't been shopping like this for a long time already... I'm going for a trip on the 29th and 30th so I took the opportunity to buy some new clothes! I guess I'm nearly broke for now... :/ Can't wait for new school term when I get my pocket money again~

Anyways, this post is just to show you my hauls for today. (^^)

Pink Bunny print cardigan.

I only realize that one button is missing when I reach home (- -) Guess I'll have to go back and exchange for another piece...

But it's really cute and warm and I like it so much! (^^)

Hooded onepiece

I rarely find onepieces that are as long as my height. They are always either too long or too short. Disadvantage for short people like me (._.)

Simple tank top.

I got this at RM15 from Cotton On. It's pretty much see through so I need to wear something underneath. But I love the cotton material!

I really enjoy shopping during sales seasons as most of the stuff are discounted and you can find some goodies too. (^^)v

Also from Cotton On for RM30, these leopard printed shorts are so soft! I really want to coordinate it soon!

Bought tights from Forever 21 and knee high socks with ribbon pattern from Daiso. It's my first time buying tights from Forever 21 and I must say that the quality is awesome! So comfortable that I can wear them all day~ lols

Lastly, I got some miscellaneous stuff like instant ramen, christmas pack, lip balm, travel make up remover sheets and double eyelid tape. I have double eyelids naturally but I want to use them for a higher crease. I'm kinda fed up with the glue method somehow since it gets so messy (> <)

So that's it for now! Going for a Christmas Party with my church friends soon. Looking forward to an enjoyable night~

Comic Fiesta 2011 - Interview with Ceui and Shimokawa Mikuni

Hello!

Being an affiliated blogger with Comic Fiesta 2011, I was very grateful to be able to attend the private interview of Ceui and Shimokawa Mikuni, two special guest that flew all the way from Japan to Comic Fiesta 2011.

It was my first time attending such event hence I must apologize if I missed some details. I'm still an amateur you see...

Nevertheless, I will try my best to type out whatever I wrote down as accurate as possible. (._.)

What do you think of Malaysia when you first arrived?

SM: I thought that Malaysia is really hot! I wondered if it is really December since it's so hot! But I was happy to visit Malaysia.

C: When I arrived at Malaysia, there was a huge thunderstorm. I was surprise to see that summer's continuing in Malaysia. I think that Malaysians are cheerful and warm just like the weather!

What inspires you in writing music? What's your secret behind it?

SM: I would read the anime thoroughly before writing the song. I want to write songs not only to be sung, but to deliver a message to the audiences.

C: Music plays a great role in my life. I hope to be able to create a fantasy world with the songs I sing. I also hope to be able to create fantasy songs like those in Totoro.

Apart from Malaysia, have you held concerts in other parts of the world?

SM: My first stop was Taipei then Beijing, Shanghai, Macau, Singapore and Korea

C: Malaysia is my third destination outside of Japan. I've been to Gao Shiung, Guang Zhou and Hong Kong.

If you are to collaborate with a MTV singer, who would you pick?

C: Debra! (I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with MTV artiste names... What Ceui said in Katakana was De-be-ra)

SM: I really don't know who to choose from! But I'll be glad to collaborate with anyone.

C: Listening to music is not just to influence but to uplift one's spirit. It brings joy to restore one's courage too. And may that person pass it on to others.

SM: After 311 (The massive earthquake that hit Japan), I've been performing in several other countries to gather donation to support Japan. It is amazing that through Anisong, people feel love, which is somehting natural. Also, people can know a country better.

How did you get involve in Anisong?

SM: I watched Anime since I was young. Even now I'm still watching it! It was someone's suggestion to start singing Anisong. I must say that it was good timing!

C: There was a search for singer of Anisong. I was very surprised to be chosen to sing OP and ED for an Anime.

What Anime would you recommend apart from those which you're singing for?

SM: K-ON! You know K-ON? It's popular in Japan!

C: The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, Kuroshitsuji and Itazura na Kiss

(Now for the last question. And it's a hot question indeed~!) Who do you think is the hottest guy in the world?

SM: Someone who can bring me to a good food restaurant. (Don't you mean your manager?) Laughs...

C: Someone who is out of this world... Like Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji and Erie from Itazura na Kiss

Comic Fiesta 2011 Report~!

So here's my version of the largest ACG event of the year, Comic Fiesta 2011!

I arrived at 8.59am(Look at the time in the pic, lols) on Day 1 with my mom. Look at the queue of those lining up to buy tickets on the day of the event!

My mom was the second in line to collect the mock tickets for her friends' children. I didn't need a ticket since I got a free pass for being part of the blogger affiliate program~ Ufufufu~

I must say that I was really glad to obtain that pass otherwise I would've been stuck outside the hall most of the day.

As such, I got to go inside the hall before the event started. This year, the hall is even bigger than last year's location at Times Square. It might not look so since the crowd is even more packed than last year but it is, when you look at it before the crowd comes in (^^;)

It was my first time witnessing the opening ceremony of Comic Fiesta since 2009.

For those who missed it, you can watch it in the video above.

After walking around for some time, I exited the hall with Sasure. Without knowing that you have to line up to get in again. The line was super long already around 11am. By that time I still didn't know that I could get in without lining up. (^^;)

Couldn't get in so I went and take picture of cosplayers then had lunch with the Hetalia group.

Then I thought, maybe I could try going inside the hall with my pass so I left them around 1pm to catch Ceui and Shimokawa Mikuni's performance. And yes! I could go in WITHOUT lining up. I was super happy then quickly ran towards Hall 5 to catch their performance.

It was my first time watching professional Japanese singers performing. I enjoyed myself a lot! Their voice were absolutely beautiful! And they kept saying 'Terima Kashi' wich means 'Thank You' in Malay.

Here's a video of the autograph session with Ceui and Shimokawa Mikuni which I missed. OTL But still, I got to go inside the VIP room where the Media peeps interviewed them. Will blog about it later. (^^)

I exited the hall and went to take more photos of cosplayers. It rained that day and I guess a lot of people went home since they couldn't enter the hall... I know that many are still blaming Comic Fiesta committee about the lockdown causing them to miss a lot of the stuff going on in Hall 5 but it was actually the KLCC management's fault for butting in with the crowd handling... (- -;)

I didn't stay to watch the Special Screening as I was super exhausted already and I had to finish up my prop for Day 2...

Day 2 of Comic Fiesta was much better. This time, Comic Fiesta committee took over the crowd handling and everything was going really smooth! They managed to clear up the queue by noon so it was a pleasant day for everyone.

I arrived at 10am but sat down in Hall 4 till 1.30pm waiting for Angel to arrive. OTL And because I had to take care of her prop, I didn't get to take picture of cosplayers... (; ;) And when she came, there were so many photographers and we were stopped by them all the time... Still, why can't I find any of my pictures?! (- -;)

I didn't enter Hall 5 on Day 2 and missed out the Lolita Fashion Show and Culture Japan which I very much wanted to watch... (; ;) Partially your fault you know, Angel (- -) Hence, no pictures of the stuff going on in Hall 5 on Day 2. (; ;)

Since next year I'm going to have my SPM (Major exam for secondary students) I think I'll keep my cosplays simple so I can have time to study and take more pictures of cosplayer. I hope I can get an DSLR by that time... I really love photography but my Nikon L19 disappoints me with grainy indoor photos. Urgh...

Comic Fiesta Day 2 - Photos of Cosplayers

Hello again!

I'm really sorry for not taking much pictures today... I wanted to but each time I take out my camera, there will certainly be someone asking me 'Excuse me, can I take a picture with you/of you?' and I had to put my camera away because of that and missing out lots of awesome cosplay...

What really freaked me out was that once someone starts taking photo of me, a whole group of people would come by and snapping pictures of me with their DSLR, digicam or mobile phones... (. .;) It's my first time to be photographed like this... (> <)

Anyways, here are some pictures that I managed to snap with lots of effort since I had to quickly shift myself from one place to another just to avoid photographers and taking pictures of others... (^^;)

I hoped you enjoyed viewing them! I had a great day today at Comic Fiesta despite the constant 'Can I take your picture' problem... Still, it was great having so many wonderful cosplayers around to support the event. \(^^)/

Comic Fiesta Day 1 - Photos of Cosplayers

Just came back from Comic Fiesta not long ago. It was total chaos today since KLCC management decided to have lockdowns, meaning attendees was let in batch by batch. However, lucky for me since my blog is affiliated with Comic Fiesta, I got a pass which allowed me to skip the queues and go wherever I wanted to. Ufufufufu~~

Anyways, this post is just pictures of cosplayer. I will do a proper post on the event itself later on. I'm just too tired right now to think and blog about the event. OTL

Vita Cosplay Make Up Test!

Hello!

Thank you for all your wishes, I was enlighten by them! I feel much better now!

Today I did a make up test for my upcoming Vita cosplay! Although I might not get the wigs that I ordered on time, I managed to borrow a short one from Ally. I guess I might have to stick to that... Anyways, this post is just to show you my try on Vita's cosplay make up. I think I need to try again though... (._.)

I tried my best to create the Tsundere look Vita has... Hmm... I think it still looks too cute... (> <) Any suggestions?

And here I'm showing how short my Vita's pigtails are... They are suppose to reach her waist but this wig is short and I have to bear with it because of the delay with my parcel. (; ;)

I'm super disappointed right now... It's the second time I having such problem... I think I should go ahead and order them at the beginning of the year next time. (; ;)

That aside, I'm nearly done with my cosplay preparations! I'm really looking forward to this year's Comic Fiesta at KLCC (Convention Centre) at Hall 5 on 17 and 18 December. It starts at 10am but you can get your tickets at 9am.

I'm going to try my best and take as many photos as possible and upload them that night. (Trying to be superhuman again (^^;)) I understand as a cosplayer, you want to view your photos taken by others as soon as possible. Me too, you see, haha!

Why must I get sick a week before Comic Fiesta?! I feel so weak right now... My body aches and I'm so blur right now... (; ;) I haven't finish rushing for my cosplay yet, oh great...

I'm not really in the mood for blogging right now but I thought I should post something to keep it alive somehow. This blog is also my 'web diary' anyways.

Tour Guide For A Day

A year ago, I blogged about Japanese High School Exchange Program at our school. This year, we were able to meet students from Shimada High School who came from Shizuoka, Tokyo, Japan again. It was an amazing opportunity since this time we get to bring them around Kuala Lumpur and be their tour guide of the day.

Different groups were assigned to different locations and each leader (which are students from Malaysia) has to take care of 4 to 6 Japanese. I was pretty lucky since I had my friend, Ally with me as her group had the same intinary as mine.

Most of our first stop was KLCC hence many of us met each other on the way there. I chat with Yuriko while we're walking through KLCC to Bukit Bintang and she was really surprised to see Japanese apparel brands like Uniqlo in Malaysia. I conversed in Japanese most of the time since they couldn't really speak English... (^^;)

We walked to Bukit Bintang along with Ally's group. There wasn't much time to bring them around the entire Bukit Bintang as they had to reach the hotel by 4pm to check out their luggages. So we only went Pavillion.

I had a good time learning about Japanese school girls' lifestyle and sharing how life is here to them. However, half of the things that they told me I had already knew... (^^;) I guess I'm too indulged with Japan...

We had lunch then head back to KLCC. Everyone went shopping by themselves so I went with Ally. As last year's exchange program was 1 to 1 or 2 to 1, hence I only prepared 1 gift. Damn... As such, we had to do last minute present hunt. I gave them chocolates, haha... (- -;)

Many groups rushed back to the hotel where they checked out their luggages. Email addresses were exchanged and farewell messages were wished. I took some photos with them but my scumbag camera takes blur pictures as usual. However, I didn't get their email address since, well, they forgot their own address... I guess stuff like this happens often, doesn't it? Just like phone numbers... But I gave them mine and they said that they'll mail me instead. (- -) Soon, we bid goodbye as they boarded the bus for their dinner then their flight home to Japan. Hmm... they should be on the plane by now...

Anyways, they gave us their name cards (Meishi) which were made by themselves. Some even got their drawings on them!

And here are the souvenirs (omiyage) they gave me. Lots of snacks and One Piece items! There were some origami papers, chopsticks, kaleidescope and fake Japanese money for kids, haha! Thank you so much! Arigatou Gozaimasu!

I had lots of fun today but my legs hurts so much right now after walking the entire day. I'm sensing that I'll be getting muscle cramps soon. (; ;) Still, I don't think I have ever spoken so much Japanese in a day! I could tell that my Japanese was improving since I could converse with them more than half of the time but I need to work hard and improve more so that I can express myself more. (^^)v

Hopefully they will have another event next year which I get to join as it'll be my last year in high school next year.

Sorry that I didn't take much pictures today since we were busy walking around all the time. (._.)

Purikura fun!

Hello!

Today Angel came over to my house and we had the chance to take Purikura together at the arcade center near my house. They have recently brought in a Purikura booth from Japan so I thought why not, since it's really hard to find Purikura booths in Malaysia.

It's my second time taking Purikura so I knew what to expect but for Angel it was quite shocking for her since there's the timer ticking and the machine takes pictures after another within seconds. Hence, you can see her half-closed eyes. (^^;)

This was the first Purikura. I was actually looking somewhere else but managed to pose when the camera flashes. *Me Gusta

Angel's eyes were closing since she didn't expect that it has started taking pictures.

Look at our huge eyes! Angel loved this photo since it washed out all her pimples. Haha!

Third Purikura. I decorated this. I'm not very good at decorating them yet, I need to practice more (^^;)

At this point, we get to choose another different set of frames and backgrounds. Then I thought, let's a pose like this! I often see it in Purikura pictures so I wanted to try this pose. Hehe. But I thing we were too far to the left. (._.)

This wasn't a really successful shot. We wanted more space so that we could take our picture with our hands spread out or something like that, but as you can see, it takes photographs in squares. Maybe it could take photos of rectangular shape, I'll try to explore the functions a bit more next time.

Last photo where we kind of panicked as we ran out of pose within 5 seconds...

Overall this Purikura booth called Pinky Girls was not bad. Although it only allowed us to take 6 pictures and all of them in squares... The background and the frames were not bad too. There were different lightning options to choose and different styles to choose from like Soft mode or Sharp mode.

As for the decorating part, the deco were not bad, but there weren't functions like changing hair colour, contact lens or adding false eyelashes. However, one good thing about this machine is that when no one is taking pictures inside, the timer for the decorating section would actually stop, which means you have unlimited time to decorate!

In terms of the picture quality, the eye enlarging effect was okay. You really need to put on make up so that your features won't be washed out. And no worries for people who has got acne problems since the lightning washed it, giving you that perfect skin.

Pinky Girls Purikura booth can be found at Jusco Wangsa Maju's arcade center. I'm not sure if they have it at other arcades, but you could check them out. It only cost RM10 for one play means it's even cheaper than the 400yen stated there. (^^)v

Anyways, what else can you do before taking pictures in a Purikura booth?

New layout preview~!

I've been working on the new layout lately and hopefully I'll be able to solve some super confusing html codes. Everything from background, header, fonts, colours, themes and more are going to be changed so this is really challenging as I had to gogle every single step. And to be honest, it's not easy at all...

Well, since I'm working on it, I might as well show you some progress I have made~

Here's the new watermark logo I created. It was inspired by those stamps you get on passports. (^^) I wanted something different from other blog's watermarks so I thought this would look nice.

Here is part of the header pattern. I couldn't find a template which I like online so I actually drew it out myself, scan it then photoshopped it. What do you think?

Lastly, I made a lace pattern which I hope will be possible to put it into the layout. I still can't figure out how yet though... (^^;) I actually scanned a present wrapper with this pattern then photoshopped and made it into a photoshop brush. (^^)

Well, that's it for now. By the way, is there anyone who knows how to deal with blogger layouts? I need any possible help. (._.)

Short Update

Hisashiburi~

I'm sorry for not being active in blogging recently (This is not the first time I'm saying this... Am I that bad with time management? (;A;)). I've been really busy with learning things that I don't even have time to sit down and relax.

I wanted to make good use of my 6 weeks school holiday hence I packed it up with tons of to-do list. Stuff like completing my cosplay costume, learning Japanese, learning how to sew etc.

During my short breaks I would watch Kamen Rider Den-O. Well, I've been on a Takeru Satoh craze recently... I wanted to watch dramas and movies where he starred in. Ehehe (^^;) I rarely get interested in male celebrities but somehow he just looked so cute and cool at the same time and that really caught my attention. *Fangirling*

Anyways, I'll try to post more tutorials or looks when my new contact lens arrives. I'm left with the not-so-obvious grey lens now and it doesn't look very dolly like so I don't really have the mood to do dolly looks. Sagepoyo~

Also, I need to keep in mind to do my room tour post soon and to create the new layout for my blog... Seems like I'm adding more stress to myself. *pokerface

Puffy Eye Bags Tutorial~

Tokyo Kawaii TV which I was featured in has just been aired! I will definitely blog about it. But before that, I'm going to blog about the latest eyemake trend featured in Popteen December 2011.

Puffy eye bags brings out the cuteness and a smiling look. There are many ways of creating it. So I'm going to show you my attempt on creating the Puffy Eye Bags!

Before

To identify where the 'eye bags' should be, smile big and you'll see it!

Here are the products I used to create the 'eye bags'. Kate Designing Eyebrow N Ex-5 and Sugarwhite (Top left corner) by M.A.C.

Once you've identified where you eye bags are, shade that part with Kate Designing Eyebrow N Ex-5. Since it's sort of a shadow, I would recommend you to use a tone for contouring. I mixed the lightest colour and the middle colour.

Next, highlight the puffy area with a highlighter or glitter. And that's it!

Here's a picture for comparison. Left side with the 'eye bags' and right side without. It's really easy to create it, isn't it? (^^)

I went and did that to my other eye too, and here's how it looks. It took me a while to get used to looking at myself with eye bags. But when you get used to it, it actually makes you look cuter and create a puppy eye look.

Why don't you try it out too? (^w~)v

So I was camwhoring and played with my fake glasses (I have perfect vision). Wait, why is everything in this post fake? Fake eye bags and fake glasses...

Anyways, you can see how this look will look like with glasses. I think it looks cute too!

Anyways, how many of you watched that Tokyo Kawaii TV episode where I was featured in?

I wonder when the video will be available online... I really want to download it and burn in into a CD so that I can watch it over and over again on television. I'm crazy and I know that but it's my first time appearing on TV, plus, NHK!!!

My Skin Care Routine!

Wanna know my secret to taking care of my skin? (^^)

My skin isn't perfectly flawless, but I guess it's considered as pretty alright since there's only spots and some oil pores.

I used Simple's Refreshing Facial Wash Gel. It's suitable for sensitive like mine. Squeeze a small amount of facial wash onto your palm then rub it between your palm. You want to make it and foamy as possible. Facial wash itself is too harsh to the skin but foam isn't.

Then, apply on damp skin and wash your face in small circular motions. Rinse off.

Next, I would use Simple's Clear Skin Facial Scrub. This product is mild to the skin hence it can be used daily. It also claims to reduce black heads.

I like it since the 'beads' are more fine compared to normal scrub. Perhaps that's why it's suitable for daily use?

Scrubbing is important to remove dead skin cells. Trust me, after you scrub your face, it'll look as if it's glowing! (^^)

After washing my face and drying it with a towel, I would apply toner to my face. I use Simple's Soothing Facial Toner.

On days where I am rushing out somewhere, I would dab it onto my face evenly. But when I have some time, I would soak up cotton pads with the toner and apply them onto my face for about 3 to 5 minutes. After removing the cotton pads, I'll wipe the excess over my face and neck.

As for mosturiser, I used Hadalabo's mosturiser. Sorry but I don't know the specific name (> <)

Sometimes, I would use Origin's GinZing eye cream. It helps to reduce panda eyes. This eye cream is only for morning use.

Of course, not forgetting the lips. For lip balm, I use Mogitate Kajitsu White Peach Flavour by Mentholatum. My lips crack easily since I'm always in air-conditioned rooms...

Lastly, apply Sunblock onto your face and neck. I love this Biore UV Aqua Rich sunblock as it's a water based product. That means there isn't any sticky feeling once you've apply it. It's usable for body too so it saves the trouble of applying different sunblocks. There's some citrus fragrance to it. Personally I like it since it smells refreshing, but maybe others wouldn't like it...

Although I'm usually staying indoors, it is important to apply sunblock to block out UV rays too. Yes, there is UV exposure even if you're indoors too.

And that's how I care for my skin in the morning. As for night time, I would wash my face then apply mask. Sometimes, when I don't have the time to scrub my face in the morning, I'll do that at night instead.

This is the moisturising sleep mask that I use. It's Tri-action Aqua Boost nourishing sleeping mask by Bio-essence. You just have to apply it evenly over your face after cleansing and leave it there until the next morning where you wash it off.

Gothic Lolita and Sweet Punk Photoshoot

I'm finally finished with editing pictures from the Lolita photoshoot which I did with Angel and Sasure a few days ago. I couldn't wait anymore for them to send their pictures over so I'll just show you what I have now...

First of all, here's a video posted by Sasure of our photoshoot. I don't think the pictures are edited here so you can see how they were like before editing... (My face looks big in some picture. *Desperately wants to slim down*)

As you can see, she has complied three of the photoshoot themes in the video. I hoped you enjoyed watching. I loved it myself and I think that she did a good job in creating the video. (^^) Gokurosama deshita~

What do you think? Eyemake for this look is cat eye. I used purple and black eyeshadow then lined my eyes and wing it upwards at the end. As for eyelashes, I used Daiso's half lash and cross type bottom eyelash.

I think I'm still quite still with my pose so I was jumping around during the shoot to soften myself up. (> <) Do let me know what you think!

Sorry for the inconsistent blogging. (> <) However, I'm really happy right now because the episode of Tokyo Kawaii TV I was in is going to be out next week!

That aside, recently I've been watching lots of drama. One of my favourite ones so far is Bloody Monday. It's about how a Hacker named Falcon is able to hack into many secured systems and saved Tokyo from disasters. Miura Haruma and Sato Takeru are in this drama and I must say that both of them are so cute! (>w<) They are best friends in real life and they are best friends in the drama too. Isn't that nice? (^^)

Well, I guess that's it for now. I'm sorry that I haven't been much active in blogging neither I have much to blog about... Or maybe I'm just too busy fangirling... Ahahahaha.... Just joking. (^^)v

Mini photoshoot day~!

Hello!

It's been a loooong day! Today I went to Sasure's house with Angel for a mini photoshoot. We took many photos so I guess it'll take some time to finish editing them. But here are some preview...

First we did a Lolita photoshoot. We only had two dresses since the rest were sent to the dryer... (-o-) I was dressed as a Punk Lolita while Sasure dressed as a Gothic Lolita.

Well, as you can see the dresses were too short hence our knees are visible in photos. Knees aren't supposed to be seen in Lolita fashion...

Next, we had a Summer themed photoshoot. I didn't participate instead I became the 'photographer'. (^^;)

Lastly, we came up with this theme last minute which is school girl theme.

We had lots of fun with this theme, and you can watch how silly we were in the video below.

My Birthday Celebration

Hello!

It was my birthday on 31 October. This post is pretty late, but I thought I should blog about my birthday still.

This was the only picture I had of me that day. As you can see it's blur since the waitress took it... And you can see that I have the smallest birthday cake ever.

I'm not really a cake person so a small cake would do fine. (^^) It's not that I hate eating cakes but it's just that I don't feel like eating them. Do you understand what I mean? (^^;)

I celebrated it at Fullhouse, Wangsawalk. It's a really beautiful cafe and I finally got the chance to go there. (^^) Although it's not as beautiful as it's main branch which I've seen through pictures, I think it's not bad.

Food came in large portions, so were the drinks. We thought that they were quite pricey at first but when we saw that each portion was really big we thought that it was reasonable.

Some pictures of the interior of the cafe before my camera battery died. (- -) It's called a lifestyle cafe since you can actually buy the clothings, accessories, bags and other items displayed there. So it's dining and shopping under the same roof. (^^)

My birthday for this year is pretty simple as you can see. But I was really happy to be able to dine outside with my family. (^^)

It's a rather short post for today. I haven't been taking pictures since I'm having some skin breakout probably from lack of sleep during the exam week a few weeks ago. I have this stubborn, huge pimple at my chin and it hurts so much (; ;) Please go away, I don't want you there (> <)

Teleported to France and Japan

I'm here to blog about the second half of my trip to Bukit Tinggi. Like finally...

So, we went to this French Village (I forgot it's name (._.)) and it was really beautiful! Perfect spot for some photoshooting during off peak seasons. (^^)

It was really sunny when we reached there. I couldn't even open my eyes properly (> <)

From the bridge to the entrance, if you look down, you'll see swans!!! I've never seen them so up close before!

The black swans actually bent into a heart shape but my stupid camera couldn't snap the shot on time... Or else it would've been so perfect!!!

My battery died soon after I reached the French Village. I guess I took too much photos of rabbit. I was so disappointed at that time, you could see my expression changed in an instant. Luckily they sold some normal batteries there. Still, don't you hate situations where your battery runs out during trips?

It's actually just a long long street with lots of buildings and cafe on both sides. There are some alleys here and there but there's nothing much to see even if you walk into them.

Outside one of the restaurants. Somehow I'm still not used to posing for cameras even after many events like ACG convention and Bon Odori where random people come ask for photos. I think I need to get myself to be more confortable with the camera (> <)

We had lunch there then head off to the Japanese Village. Unfortunately, while we were waiting for the shuttle bus to arrive, it started pouring. Well, actually it started drizzling on and off while we were still at the French Village. Y U NO SUNNY?!

In the end, our parents drove us to the Japanese Village thanks to the rain. Upon reaching there, the rain stopped but it started raining again after a few minutes, giving us false hope...

After the rain stopped, we had to walk up to the Japanese Village since cars can't go up there since there was some construction going on. It was a 45 degrees 10 minutes walk and I nearly die of exhaustion. And I was just walking. (-o-)

It rained again when we were exploring... So I had to wear my jacket to prevent myself from getting soaked. (> <) My hair is getting messier and messier (- -) I was standing at this small 'Waiting Hut'.

You can actually enter the tea house but then you need to pay to go in and pay again to wear a kimono. Well, most people ended up crowding outside since Malaysians are just so cheapskate. Haha!

Last picture up there. Took off my jacket since it wasn't raining by that time and I was sweating from all the walking despite the cold weather. Behind me was a Japanese restaurant.

All in all, I prefer the French Village over the Japanese Village since it's more colourful and fun there. The Japanese Village is mostly greenery but I think it's a great place for Japanese themed photoshoots too. (^^) I would consider bringing my Yukata and changed there just for photos, hehe.

It's a really fun place to visit. There are many other activities around the area too which you can check out if you ever go there.

And that sums up my recent trip. I hope there will be some more trips during the upcoming school holidays! \(^^)/

Simple Coordinate

I can't express how much I missed blogging and how much I missed home!!!

There have been some family problems lately and we had to stay somewhere else to avoid some troubles. (._.) Staying over at my aunt's house isn't as pleasant as staying in my own house. Like it is said, 'There is no place like home. (^^)

Anyways, here's a delayed post I've been wanting to post for the past two days. I went out with Angel and Sasure not long ago and here's my outfit of the day...

Outer- Bought it long ago... (^^;)

I wanted to go for something simple as we were just shopping for some cosplay stuff. Tying my hair in a half ponytail somehow made me look very mature... (^^;)

Baskin Robbins ice-cream we ate that day. I bought Mint and Chocolate Chip while they shared Pomegranate.

We had Japanese food for lunch! I only ate two dishes of Sushi and a dish of Temaki. Somehow I don't eat large portions yet I gain weight so easily and take so much effort to shed them away... (- -)

When we were at Pavillion, it started pouring outside and we couldn't walk to KLCC. So I took the opportunity to check out Chatime which many people have been talking about. I had Pearl Milk Tea and it tasted okay.

Not much hauls that day though... We spent mostly on food that's why. (^^;) Oh, here's a picture of that day. (^^)

Recently my mom has been complaining that she doesn't like me with Tare Me (droopy) eyemake... She complains that I look very sad all the time... (._.;) What should I do...

Anyways, I celebrated my birthday and got some presents. I will blog about that soon. (^^)

Last day of being 15

Time sure flies fast... I'm going to be 16 real soon...

My 15 years old life has been pretty okay. Looking back, I think I've learned a lot of stuff and have grown more mature. Mostly mentally growth though. Hehe (^^;)

Actually I really miss being 15. I don't think I'm ready to be 16 yet but still I have to cope with the age right? Hopefully I'll have a good 16 years old life ahead. (^^) I can't see what will happen in the future but let's take the past as a lesson and move forward.

Somehow, I'm not very excited for my birthday like I used to be. It just seems that it's a figure of measuring age to me.

I know most people cherish their birthdays and would act as if the whole world has to bow to them on that day. (^^;) But for me, I would like to thank God for letting me live well for the past 15 years. It sure has been meaningful.

Seeing how much I've changed this year does motivate me to be better. Not just in terms of make up and blogging, but I want to have better qualities like better time management, obey to my parents, learn to be not so self-centered and to love others more.

Hopefully by the time I read this post next year, I have changed for a better person then.

Dear 16 years old me, have you been a good girl? I hope you did. I hope you did better than when you're 15. Always remember to be grateful for everything that happened as things happen for a reason. Be thankful to God and people around you. Always look at the positive side of things and be happy. (^^) And as you have told yourself when you were 15, your dream is to make everyone happy and help others to achieve their hopes. Never to feel jealous about others, as jealousy is a sin that you told yourself that it must not be in your thoughts. Understand others before you judge them, stand in their shoes and feel what they feel, and help them if you can. I hope you still remember these thoughts when you were 15. (^^) And again, Happy Birthday.

Halloween Look: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

Hello!!!

Here's the last look for this Halloween! I didn't create this one but I copied instead. Hehehe...

But still, it's this very special look of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's single, Moshi Moshi Harajuku. The key point of this look is that drawn on mouth. At first I thought it was photoshopped on until the other day during the Foruchizu meet up I heard someone saying it was drawn on. So I thought maybe I can draw it on too. Haha!

Before starting the tutorial, I must say that this look looks pretty freaky and ridiculous for everyday look. But that's why Halloween's about, isn't it?

For the eyemake, it's pretty simple since the colours are very light. First you want to highlight your brow bone and the inner corners. I used Vanilla by M.A.C.

Next, apply Cork by M.A.C or any other light brown eyeshadow onto your eyelids and half of your bottom eye area.

Next line your eyes with a liquid eyeliner and extend a little bit at the ends.

Lastly, apply false eyelashes. As Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has point eyelashes in the look, I try to use one that is similar to it and customised the bottom lashes to resemble the one she has.

For top false eyelashes, I used the one I got from NHK Tokyo Kawaii TV but you can use any point type lashes. As for the bottom lashes, I combined Canmake No.13 and Dolly Wink No.6. I used three Dolly Wink lashes at the outer corners.

At this point, you can either stop or continue with that freaky mouth. Either way, remember to blush on orange blush on the apples of your cheeks. If you stop here, you can apply a nude pink lipstick and lipgloss.

But, if you are in for something fun, read on as I'll show you how I did the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu drawn on mouth. (^^)

First, you want to conceal your original lip colour. You can either use a lip concealer, normal concealer or a nude lipstick.

Next, start drawing the inner shape of the 'lip'. Use dotted lines if you are not confident to be able to draw it perfectly at one go. Also, have a picture of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu as reference while you draw.

It's ok if you accidentally drew out of line. Just remove it using a Q-tip and a make up remover or conceal it.

Then, draw the outer 'lip'.

Next, you want to add in the 'teeth'. Just draw it following the reference picture.

To fill in the white colour of the teeth, you can use a white pencil eyeliner or if you don't have it like me, you can fill it in with white eyeshadow. Using a lip brush, dampen the brush to pick up more colour. This will intensify the effect when applied too. Just go over for a few layers until you achieve the opacity you want.

Fill in the 'lip' with a magenta lipstick. I didn't have that colour do I used a dark pink colour. Looks fine, don't you think so? And there, the comparison between my take and the original look.

And that's it! Have fun with it! And of course make funny faces since that's one of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's signature look. (^^)v

Halloween Look: Sweet Angel

Hello!

Finally posting up the second look for Halloween. There'll be one last one soon. (^^)

So after the previous look on Sexy Devil here's the opposite of that look, Sweet Angel.

For this look, I want to create a clean, innocent, gentle and kind look just like an angel. (^^)

For eyebrows, try to draw them as straight as possible for that innocent puppy eye look.

Using Sugarwhite by M.A.C, apply it all around your eye area. Both top and bottom. Then blend it out so that there isn't any harsh edges.

Next, apply Antique by M.A.C on the outer corners of your eye. Both top and bottom too. Blending it into the white and also blending it outwards to soften the look.

For highlighting, take Phloof! by M.A.C and apply onto your brow bone, center of your eye and the inner corners. This helps brightening your eyes while creating a 3D illusion.

Using a brown eyeliner, line your eyes and wing it slightly at the ends. Then line 1/4 of your bottom eye area.

Curl lashes and apply false lashes. I used a straight type eyelash for both top and bottom. Try to keep it as natural as possible. If you have brown false eyelashes, use them as they'll look even more natural. (^^)

For the rest of the look,

Apply pink blusher onto your cheeks. I used Rose Quartz (as usual (- -)) by M.A.C. Then, highlight your cheek bones using some glittery eyeshadow or highlighter. For me, I used Sugarwhite by M.A.C. You can try using a purple blusher or eyeshadow to brighten up your complexion. I used Digit by M.A.C.

As for the lips, choose a nude pink colour as it'll create a sweet look. (^^)

And you're done!

I rarely take photos from the lower angle but since my hair is poofy in this look, I could do that without my face looking big. Haha!

Drown In Fluffiness

Three days ago I went for a trip with my family and some friends of our family to Berjaya Hills (Bukit Tinggi). I had lots of fun taking pictures there as the scenery was awesome and there were so many cute bunnies hopping around at the Rabbit Farm! I'm splitting the post on the trip into two parts as there's just too many photos for one post!

So for the first post, it'll be on bunnies~! I love them so much!!!

Gosh, they were so fluffy that I could do that the whole day, stroking their fur as they lay there enjoying free massage. Haha! I also understood why people buy rabbit fur since they are so fluffy~

My mom was telling me that bunnies sort of resemble hamsters but I didn't believe it until I looked back at this picture. See that bunny on the top left corner?

Do you know white bunnies are actually albino bunnies? That explains their white fur and red eyes. (^^) I only got to know when I was searching about albinos the other day...

My mom said this is a bunny version of me. See the 'false eyelashes'? It was the only bunny with those 'lashes'!

Although we weren't supposed to hug the bunnies or carry them around, somehow we managed to sneak this shot while the caretaker wasn't around. I want to do that like my brother did to that bunny... 8(>w<)8

But it looks like it was screaming for help... (^^;)

Well, at least I was able to hug it. Hahaha...

Some new friends I met during the trip. They are actually sisters to my brother's friend. Can you believe that the tall girl is actually a year younger than me? I feel like a midget (; ;)

Halloween look: Sexy devil

I know! I know! Halloween is just three days away and I'm super late with this post. Still, I really want to create some looks for this year's Halloween. (^^)

Personally I don't 'celebrate' Halloween since there isn't much of that influence over here. Some people might not even know what Halloween is in Malaysia. But I know since it's on my birthday. Teehee~

Anyways, the first look I created was a Sexy Devil look. It's my first attempt so I hope it looks ok. I don't look like the usual me at all but I think that's what Halloween is about, isn't it?

We're going to the eyemake tutorial first before I'm going to show you the completed look. A surprise. Hehe~

There's some eyeshadow on my eye already since I did this tutorial after I came back home after some errands with my parents.

First I lined my eyes. For the flicks and the tapering I used a liquid eyeliner. As for the rest of the lining I used a pencil eyeliner. Remember to line your waterline too! A gel eyeliner would be preferable but I had to implify since I don't have it...

Thick eye lining makes my eyes look single eyelided. Don't worry, we'll fix that soon. (^^)

Next, using Hepcat by M.A.C, apply it all the way up to your crease. Then, flick up the outer corner and blend the colour well.

Apply Bistro by M.A.C along the lining in the middle from the outer corner. Flick it up slightly at the ends. Then, apply it on the eyelid crease to deepen the eye eyelid fold. If you have Asian eyelids like me, just apply it higher than your original eyelid fold. If you have Caucasian eyes, you can just apply it onto your crease.

For the bottom eye area, go over the bottom eye lining with Bistro too and slightly blend it out.

Using Phloof! by M.A.C highlight your brow bone and the center of your eye.

Here comes the trick to let your eyelid folds look more obvious. Apply eyelash glue onto the part where you previously created a higher eyelid fold then let it dry for about 20 seconds until it gets tacky. Then, using a Y stick, push your eyelids so that they stick together at where you created the higher eyelid fold.

You can reapply the Bistro at the new eyelid fold too if you thick that it doesn't look deep enough.

Lastly, curl your lashes and apply generous amount of mascara onto both top and bottom lashes. I used a half lash on the outer corner.

Here, I also deepen my eyebrows to intensify the look.

Eyemake is done! I chose not to wear circle lenses since I wanted to see whether this look looks nice without it. But you still can wear them. (^^)

Now onto the rest of the look~

I shaded my nose with a darker tone to really sharpen it and create an illusion of a high nose bridge. However, if your nose bridge is considered as a high one, you don't need to use such dark tone.

As for the cheeks, you can try sucking in your cheeks and apply a deep colour blush on where is 'sucked in'.

For the lips, I used Sheerplum by M.A.C. For an alternative look, you can apply some black on the outer corner of your lips then apply red lipgloss over your lips. This creates a darker look. (^^)

And that's it! I didn't have devil horns as props so I used bat wings instead. Haha!

What do you think? I myself thought that 'This is not me' when I looked into the mirror. I don't usually taper my eyes in my normal eyemakes so this really made my eyes looked super different.

Is this devilish enough? Next look would be on and angel look! Yay~!!

Today's haul!

School ended early today so I had the chance to go shopping today! I shopped alone since my friends were either busy or they are shopping somewhere else. #foreveralone

I bought quite some stuff today and here are my hauls~

I'm now a proud owner of Candy Doll cosmetics! When someone asks 'What foundation do you use?' I can now answer 'That famous brand in Japan called Candy Doll produced by a famous model called Masuwaka Tsubasa.'

I'm using tone 1 which is the lightest tone available for the liquid foundation. It's darker than my previous foundation, but it's actually the right shade for my skin. I've been using a shade lighter than my skin before this so I always had to blend it well so that it doesn't seem so fake.

I will be doing a review on these products soon~! (^w~)v You can get these in Malaysia now at Sasa.

Bought two facial masks from Sasa too as I was just RM9 away from RM200 to get a free Sasa 2012 planner (You can imagine how expensive Candy Doll products are in Malaysia). Also bought a Biore sunblock.

Normally I don't use sunblock on my skin. But it's actually important even when you're indoors as you are still exposed to UV rays from lights or the computer screen. Not just to keep your skin fair, but it helps to protect your skin from bad things you wouldn't want.

If you ask me how I used to stay fair, I will tell you to stay indoors. Seriously, that helps in a little way!

Lastly, I went a little bit shopping craze at Daiso again. Pricing every item at RM5 is a really good strategy to increase sales. Haha!

I bought a shower mitten, headband, make up sponges and two packs of snacks. Daiso items are not that bad even at RM5. You can find useful things with pretty good quality there.

And that's all for today's haul! I will be going out again with my friends on Thursday so perhaps I'm going to buy more items... My wallet is going flat this month.

As for tomorrow, I'm going for a one-day trip with my parents and some of my mom's friends along with their families too. We're going to a rabbit farm, Japanese village, French village and maybe to a strawberry farm too! I'm really looking forward to the trip to take beautiful pictures. Hehe!

I need to sleep early to get up early tomorrow, so bye for now! (^^)v

Sophie Monk facial mask review

This is a delayed review, I was too lazy to blog about it. (- -) I've bought this mask called Sophie Monk months ago and was only able to use it a few weeks ago. I know, everything seems so back dated here. (._.;)

They have a few different mask and each has different effects. The one I bought claims to slim face. I have a wide face so it really caught my interest.

After washing my face.

Let's open the packaging~

The packaging is simple yet cute. As I opened and took out the mask from the package, it seemed that there isn't much serum in left in the packaging unlike some other masks I've used before.

With the mask on. It seems like the 'holes' where your eyes, nose and mouth should be seems cramped up in the middle. But wait till you see the worst part. (- -)

The ear hooks are so far from my ears!!!

I'm really disappointed at the size of this mask. I mean, if you're going to be selling a mask to help slimming face, shouldn't it a little bigger since people who have big faces are the ones that wants small faces. (- -;)

What about the slimming face that it claimed?

No, I didn't see much difference unfortunately. Maybe you need to apply it a few times for visible effect. But with the ear hooks so far from my face, I don't think I'll apply it again. For me, I won't be buying this mask anymore since the size doesn't fit my face at all!

However, these are just my opinion as a user. It may differ among others too.

A step closer to Nature

Originally i wanted to do a Halloween look tutorial but then my friends from church asked me last minute to go climbing. And no, we're not doing those indoor rock climbing but the real mountain climbing.

I think this is the first time I'm posting about something adventurous, haha (^^)

We went to Bukit Tabur at Melawati. I remember it was five years back went I last went there also to climb. I finished the route without much exhaustion previously but now I couldn't even finish half of it and I felt dizzy already. I'm not fit for sports anymore. (; ;)

But I must say that the view up there was awesome. It gave me motivation to go up there to snap some pictures of mother nature. Well, I like to practice my photography skills anyway. Hehe. (^^)

So I'm going to spam pictures of what I took up there. Hope you don't mind. (^^;)

Proof that I went up there, haha! No make up, who would want to go up there being sweaty and with make up?

NHK Tokyo Kawaii TV Behind the Scenes~

I'm finally free from Nerd Jail™ and I must say that I missed blogging so much!!! I have lots of plans lined up now, so I'll have a lot to blog about, haha!

By the way, remember the NHK Tokyo Kawaii TV x Foruzhizu gathering that I posted about in the last post? I found a video of the Behind-the-scenes by Blivene and I thought it would be great to share.

Did you spot me there? Gosh, I hate how stubby my legs looked! (> <)

Since exams are over, I'll start taking care of my health more. I've been sleeping for an hour or two during examination week. I know it's not good but I'm those that experience insomnia if I don't finish what I need to do. (^^;)

Aside from my health, I told myself not to slouch when I sit. I've been doing that for two days already and I don't know why but my back hurts! Maybe I'm getting old already.... No!!! (; ;) Still I'll maintain it since it's better to sit with a straight back than a slouchy one. Ehehe

By the way, it's ten more days till Halloween, or should I say my birthday!! \(^^)/ I have never experienced Halloween before, not as in going houses for trick or treating.

BUT, I would like to do some tutorials for Halloween! I've only got a few in mind so I need some ideas that you would like to see me doing. Is it okay if it's not something gory? (^^;)

NHK Tokyo Kawaii TV filming!!!

Hello!

It's been a while since I've blogged. (^^;) So sorry for the lack of updates!

Today I went for Foruchizu's gathering where NHK Tokyo Kawaii TV crew wanted to film Gyarus in Malaysia! I was a little bit late but at least I made it there! Phew!

Not much photos of the whole filming thing, I guess you can see most of it when the episode is aired. *I hope I get more screen time (> <)*

It was really hot today and everyone was sweating as we walked from KLCC to Corus Hotel. We had tea there and it was mostly chit chat among the gals. I met some of my blog readers and friends there!!!

Well, there was actually a surprise audition going on, about representing Malaysia for the competition called 'KAWAII OF THE WORLD'. Many of us were really shy to admit that we want to join but they said that they'll be emailing us the entry form. \(^^)/ I really hope that I can win. *fingers crossed*

The winner not only gets to go Tokyo, but to walk on Tokyo Girls Collection in March 2012!! Don't tell me that's not awesome enough!!!

Cheesie and Audrey were sooooooo beautiful!!! I've never seen someone so beautiful in real!!! Taking photo beside them made me look so meh... (; ;) I need to work harder to become more Gyaru! (> <)

By the way, I was really touched when Audrey asked me 'Are you Hanie?' and they both actually regconized me. Now that I think about it, I really feel like crying... (._.) I mean, I actually tweeted about them and blogged about them (ok, maybe I kinda 'stalked' Audrey on MSN (_ _;) so sorry...) yet they remembered me. (>w<)

I know I haven't been blogging much recently as the exams are really stressing me out. I don't think I can even finis studying the syllabus but I'll just try my best...

Anyways, 9th October will be Foruchizu's gathering! Foruchizu is a Gyaru circle created by Cheesie and Audrey. You can find them in Facebook. (^^)

Is anyone who's reading my blog attending? Most probably I'll be there, even exams are three days after it. It's a rare opportunity to appear on NHK so it's worth it right? (^^;)

Though I don't think I have any shoes that match the season yet but I guess I'll just dress up with whatever I have since there's no time to go and shop for items... (; ;) Argh!!! I just hate exams!!!

Exams are always so tiring... My body time gets mixed up and my meals go out of time too. When concentrating on studying, I would neglect my appearance. I won't go out in my studying look, lol

I already have several plans like shopping, photoshoot and cosplaying stuff lined up for my post-exam activities. I'm looking forward to all of that, but not the exam itself... It's just normal, isn't it?

I guess that's it for now, waiting for the dreadful finals to be over so that I can go back to my normal life again.

Make Up Transformation!

Recently, I found this blog where this Chinese girl is able to change her look with make up. She showed how she does it step by step so it's really helpful if you are able to understand Chinese. But the pictures are mostly self-explainable. (^^)

So I thought maybe I should do a post like that too, for fun. (^^;) I often get comments from people that I look completely different with and without make up. It's kinda awkward for me to hear so since I don't know how to respond... haha...

In the first picture I only wore circle lenses. Second picture is full make up.

I really didn't want to show my naked face... (> <) So many spots, oil pores and black heads...

Here's after applying BB cream.

After conceal, contour and drawing my eyebrows...

I used Antiqued by M.A.C to apply on my eyelids then blend them out till the crease area.

Then, using Espresso by M.A.C, apply to your eyelids then blend it slightly into Antiqued so that it doesn't look as harsh.

Next, mix Antiqued and Espresso and apply it to the half of your lower eye area.

Using Sugarwhite by M.A.C, highlight your brow bone and inner corners.

Line your eyes. I'm going for a Tare me (droopy eye) look.

Apply false eyelashes. I used Daiso Voluminous No.11 and Daiso Half Type No.3 for the top eyelash while Canmake No.13 and Dolly Wink No.8 for the lower eyelash.

My camera has some problems capturing colours and somehow it made my eye looked alien-ish... (- -;)

Lastly, apply blusher, lipstick and lipgloss.

For blusher, I used Rose Quartz by M.A.C. For the lips, I used Myth lipstick and Song and Dance lipglass.

Pictures aren't that nice today... The construction going on at my neighbour's house totally ruined the mood for me to camwhore. It was super annoying!!

Well, I still hope you enjoyed reading this post, since you get to see the flaws on my face... (; ;) I still trying my best to get rid of them but it's not easy. I've never been for facial before so I guess I can say I'm lucky since I don't get acne often. (^^)

Ohayo!

It's really rare for me to say Ohayo. Haha! I don't wake up as early usually... Well, today I didn't go to school since most of the students are going for a trip but I'm not so if I went I would've been really bored.

Anyways, thank you so much for the positive response from my previous 4-panel comic on 'In The Train'. I thought I would share more today. (^^)

Don't you get situations like this often? It's a wonder how some people manage to keep their eyes open when camera flashes!

This happens to me sometimes too. It's pretty annoying when you have to walk back to the camera to set it again, walk back to pose, then walking back to set it again...

So far this has never happened to me before. But have you ever encounter such problems? I thought it would be funny, haha!

I hope you enjoyed reading them! I don't usually draw manga so I hope it's okay. (^^;) Pictures are hand-drawn then scanned.

I got the idea for this from my conversation with my friend at school and I wanted to share it since we ended up laughing so hard at situations like this. Haha!

An unfortunate situation in the train

Today it was really crowded in the train! Just as I found somewhere to hold onto in the train, a fat lady came and held it too. Then, she leaned her body towwards the pole!! I was terrified as her belly squished my hand on the pole... (> <) When she finally moved away from the pole, I quickly pull my hand back...

I really hate situations like this when I'm taking the train. It's really freaky! Has it ever happened to you before? What are your bad experiences in the train?

By the way, what do you think if I post up posts like this on days when I'm busy? Is it interesting to read? (^^;) Please let me know!

Hello Kitty Inspired Look!

Hello~

I've been really busy with school lately till I didn't even have the time to update anything... (; ;) I fall asleep soon after I reached home and wake up in the middle of the night. School is so tiring that I feel like skipping it almost everyday. But I kept telling myself to hang on as there's just one more year left. (;^;)

Pushing those rants aside, I realised that I have not blogged for days! So I tried my best to squeeze in a post even though I'm still not done with my piled up homework...

For this look, I tied two ponytails and teased them. I also added a ribbon as it's Hello Kitty's signature accessory!

I hope I have more time to blog... But with the coming finals, it doesn't seem so. Finals are really important to me so I might have to delay several post.

High Class dining at Cheap Price!

Hello again!

I love dining at high class places since they have special menus that impresses me all the time. Well, it could be the price that 'impressed' me but who doesn't want to try out some high class food? (^^)

In case you haven't heard of this, there is a promotion at several restaurants in Starhill gallery, Kuala Lumpur where you can have high class food and drinks at RM3.60, Rm4.60 and RM10+ for the chef selections. The promotion is only available from 3pm to 6pm daily so please make sure you go there at the right time!

I went to one of the restaurants having that promotion called 'Shook!' with my family today. Well, some food were really worth it but some weren't...

I had this Clam Pasta alio de olio. It was really nice!

Also Salmon Fish Tempura with noodles.

I also ordered Tropical Blend. It's a mixture of various tropical fruits! (^^)

Here are soem other food we ordered... It's a sandwich but I'm not sure what was in it... (> <)

My mom asked the waitress about how long will this promotion last. She told my mom that for their restaurant, the promotion only last till the end of this month. However, the promotion still goes on for other restaurant in that area.

I think if you're in Kuala Lumpur or you are coming to visit, this place is a must go! Starhill gallery has really unique restaurants and many branded shops. Oh! Do check out their restrooms too! No kidding!

DIY Purikura tutorial!

Purikura are just so awesome, aren't they? I've only taken once because as much as I know, you can only find Purikura booths in Genting Highlands. I posted my first Purikura experience photos a long time ago so here's the link if you want to check it out. (^^)

Purikura

Since there aren't any Purikura available around my area, I would like to show you how you can create a fake Purikura photo by using photoshop! You will need to download some brushes and styles and here are some of my recommendation~

Purikura brushes + stamps + background
Kaomoji

Just a few that are common in decorating Purikura.

In case you're wondering, I'm using Photoshop CS5. I don't know about other versions since I've been using this version all this while and I like it. (^^) I hope you know a few basic stuff in Photoshop so you can understand better.

Before editing. It's best if you have an Purikura photo as a guide.

Next, brightening and contrast. You want to to be really bright just like in Purikura booths where they have lots of lights in there. However, you don't want too much contrast in your picture. Purikura booth's lights lights up your entire face you see.

Under filter, select blur then surface blur. Set the radius of the blur then the threshold value. I set mine as 5.

This gives a more matte feeling to the photo.

Here comes the troublesome part. Covering your background. Be really careful at this and zoom while covering if it helps! Also, colouring on a new layer is safer too!

Now that you've done that, there might be some spaces in between. Or sometimes it looks too harsh. To soften it, blur the edges using the blur too with strength set to 100%.

Now the fun part! Add on decorations and writings using photoshop brushes. Just google whicheve you like and download them! \(^^)/

Also, if you want to achieve the big eyes effect, simply go under filters then select liquify. Use Bloat tool to create big dolly eyes. Click or when you're satisfied.
Next, select quick mask mode then colour on your eyes. Exit quick mask mode, then press 'Shift' + 'Ctrl' + 'I'. Adjust the contrast level as you wish. (^^)

And that's it! It's really simple you see. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a comment and I will try my best to answer them!

Hello!

I realise that I have not been posting up photos of myself recently. I've been so lazy to put on make up. (-3-)

Anyways, here are some photos which I took for fun along with photos of the next post. Usually the more camwhore pictures I take, the more silly expressions I make but I don't really post them up. Hehe (^^;) This time, it's photos where I try to impersonate some Gyaru bloggers...

Here I'm impersonating Yaptus's hairstyle where she tied two ribbons with her hair.

Can you guess whose impersonation this is?

It's Mizukitty! I noticed that she always smile with her tongue sticking out from her teeth. It's really cute!

Lastly, it's Yunkoro! I don't really mention about her in my blog but I think that she always looks so gorgeous! I read her blog once in a while and I notice that she sometimes take pictures of half of her face.

So what do you think about these impersonations? Any other that you want to see? I might try them out! (^^)

Vita cosplay update!

I'm sorry for not blogging yesterday even though I said I wanted to... m(_ _)m I had to finish up my holiday homework. (- -) I'm such a last-minute person...

Anyways, today I finally went to the tailor for my measurements to be taken for my Vita cosplay outfit!

Have you ever tailor made any costumes before? Somehow I get really embarrassed when people start measuring my size. I'm afraid that they will know that I didn't grow or I grew at the wrong places... Fats, I mean. (-///-;)

Here I'm showing you the sketch I drew to show the tailor how it should be. Tomorrow I might be going to buy some cloth after school! I'm so excited for this cosplay!

I'm going to make this cosplay awesome with limited resources. Wish me luck! (^^)v

This holiday I didn't go out much, but at least I bought some nice stuff! (^^)

I want to go shopping but my budget is getting tighter and tighter as I need to get quite some stuff for my cosplay. But for the sake of cosplay I'll sacrifice my money for shopping~! (^A^)b

So here's a white top with a black cat. I think it fits for this Autumn's trend. The material is not Autumn wear type since it's baking in Malaysia! (> <)

I used to hate black cats because my hamster was killed by one but I think animated cats are still cute. Lol!

Also, this Autumn features leather pants. I'm not interested in getting a leather one but a close to leather looking type is okay to me. It's also my first black shorts! (^^)

Popteen September issue.

I'm getting lazier to go all the way to Kinokinuya to pick up a magazine so I usually look through the scans first. But reading scans isn't as fun as reading the magazine... (^w^;)

Re-nu contact lens solution.

Previously I used Ciba Vision's Solo Cara Aqua but I couldn't find it in small bottle so I bought this instead. I don't wear contact lens often so buying a big bottle is a waste to me since the solution as to be thrown away after a certain period...

Lastly... A new mirror from IKEA!!!

I wanted to get a mirror long enough to take coordinates for some while already until yesterday when my parents went to IKEA I told them I want to get a longer mirror and they got me this! It's 160cm long so I will have no problems taking coordinate post~! I'm 152cm. (^^;)

So that's it for now! I really hope to be able to go out once more before the final examination. I want to get more Autumn trend's clothings. Hehe...

School is starting again this Monday. I would rather stay at home and do self study but that's just impossible. Sigh...

Autumn is coming soon so it's time to switch from Summer fashion trends to Autumn fashion trends!

September issue of Popteen has showed some key points for this Autumn. I find that this Autumn will be more focused on retro and passive colours. ( 'w') And before I translate some of the scans I would like to point out that my translations are not perfect, I only wanted to share it with my readers. (^^)

Basically, for the first part, the scans have already self explained the trends. But in case you still don't understand I'll still translate the keywords. (^^)v

For the start of Autumn,

This Autumn's trends focuses on British x Retro Trad Style. For Autumn, passive colours and big checkered prints are prefered.

- Tops

Tops made of chiffon material or with knitted details and are light-weighted.

- Accessories

Since Autumn trend is focused on Retro style, red, blue, beige, bold colours, navy colours, camel colour would bring out this season's trend.

As for mid-Autumn,

- One piece

Cooling materials with bold colours, khaki etc. are Autumn trend's picks!

And when it gets cooler,

- Light-weight outers

Knitted outers, jackets or trench coats from Summer trend are brought to Autumn trend with a slight change in terms of design.

- Warm materials

Autumn marks the beginning of knitted, fur and wool items. Leopard prints are still in trend too!

Shopping day for three of us~

Yesterday I went out with Angel and Ky Li (or Sasure who won my first giveaway!). They arrived late so in the end I waited for them for around 2 hours...

Outfit of the day~

I always have non-matching shoes... Somehow I still can't find a pair that I like that is affordable... (- -;)

Anyways, we went to several places, but we didn't take many photos. ( > <) Most places were crowded as the Hari Raya festival approaches so there were crowds doing last-minute shopping that day.

I had 'Bahkuteh' bun and a Watermelon with sago dessert for lunch. (^^) It was refreshing after walking in the heat...

I bought some stuff but I'll show them in another post. Hehe.

Recently I've been shopping around shopping malls in Bukit Bintang like Sungei Wang, Fahrenheit 88 and Pavillion quite frequently. But I find that fashion in Sungei Wang is so outdated now and the stuff there aren't as nice anymore... I guess I'll just stick to shopping at other malls with better quality shops around that area. Well, I actually find Fahrenheit 88 really nice since there are lots of Japanese style inspired stuff there. Hehe. (^^;)

One last camwhore picture for the day.

My skin isn't in good condition lately. I'm getting lots of oil pores and it's super annoying. Also, today I just got an eye infection (- -). I'm suspecting that it's Pink Eye or Conjuntivitis but I can't be sure yet. I wanted to go and check but I guess most clinics are closed due to the Hari Raya festival.

But I've got a few interesting posts lined up so I'll still keep my blog updated. (^^)

One thing I must say is that these lenses were super soft! They are so soft till I was afraid of tearing them when I took them out of the lens case! Haha! And when I wore them, I didn't feel anything!

At 14.5mm, sadly I didn't see much enlargement in this pair...

I would love these lenses if they were more visible. But the comfort and design of these were really good so I had to give the overall rating as four stars. (^^) Also, I would wear these lenses when I wear natural eye make up or on days where I'm too lazy to put on any make up as they look really natural hence not creating that alien eye look. Hehe!

I find them cute? I rememebered I was going through the pop culture styles in Japan and I stumbled across Ageha magazine scans. I fell in love immediately. Although I don't read Ageha anymore but from there I discovered more japanese magazines. My favourite one right now is Popteen.

I don't own much branded clothes but my favourite Gyaru brands are Ank Rouge, Cecil Mcbee and Liz Lisa

I'm not that pretty, haha. Partially because I was born with decent facial parts and lots of hard work in make up, hair and fashion.

I have only used Elianto's BB cream so far but I don't really like it. I've tested Skin 79's BB cream before and I love the tone of that BB cream. Would try that when I finish my current one. (^^)

Wear hair? (O~O)??

My tip for washing hair is to wash it under cold water as it helps to ensure better blood circulation and to close up the hair follicles for shinier hair. (^^)

It's coming along quite well! I have found where to get the wigs and have decided on the contact lens as well. I only need to wait till the tailor is free to accept my costume commission and to get the materials for the prop. (^^)v

I'm not fully Gyaru yet but judging from how I look so far it has been 2 years since I started to learn make up by myself. It started from simple eyelining, false eyelashes, contact lens, foundation, hair then fashion.

Coming back to the topic of this post, recently I've been told that my style is 'normal asian girl style' instead of Gyaru. It made me quite sad, you see...

What is Gyaru to you?

I just googled the image. I don't mean to direct it to any particular person.

Is it thick eyelashes + bleached hair + deco nails + colour contacts etc?

To me, it's not. I personally don't think that Gyaru have a must look. They have something similar but not completely the same. Gyaru girls can be different, don't you think so?

Even in magazines like Popteen or Popsister you see Gyaru with black hair, one tone nail polish and natural looking eyelashes. No? It's not Gyaru?

Tsubasa Masuwaka has dyed her hair black and has short nails for her Milky Bunny PV. So she's not Gyaru anymore in that way? Have your say.

Here I'm just stating my opinions on Gyaru style. I hope I didn't offend anyone by stating so.

I would like to know your thoughts on Gyaru too if you are a Gyaru gal or you simply like the style.

Happie nuts inspired look

First off, I'm sorry for not blogging for days. m(_ _)m Have been busy lately with homework. I fell sick yesterday too. But it's alright now so I'm back to blogging too. (^^)v

I'm getting the stuff for the giveaway done soon. I only need the pictures now. Are you excited yet?! \(^w^)/ I'm going to be giving out stuff that I love! But of course, they are new.

Back to the topic of this post...

The other day I read Eki's post on her take on Sayoko Ozaki's make up. Sayoko's a model from the magazine 'happie nuts' which features styles that are more mature. Eki's post interested me so I decided to browse through the scans.

I tried my best to achieve the look. It's fun to do so but I don't really think that it's my style. I like cute style better. Hehehe... Anyways, I'm going to show you my try on the eyemake. (^^)

Let's start!

Ok, there are two colours that I used for this look which I don't think you can find in stores anymore. But I think you can find similar colours too.

Apply B in the marked area.

Next, apply A up to your crease then blend it outwards.

Using Espresso by M.A.C, apply on the outer V. Concentrate on the outer corner then blend it into your eyelid.

For the bottom eye area, mix A and B then apply on the marked area.

This is to help darkening the eyemake. At this point, you might look like you haven't slept for months... Or maybe that's just me... (- -;)

Line your eyes. For the top, I extended it outwards since I want to create a longer eye illusion. For the bottom, line half of it with a pencil eyeliner. I also lined the waterline.

Next is to apply eyelash.

For the top eyelash, I combined Daiso Voluminous Type No.11 and Daiso Half Type No.13. In my opinion, they make a good pairing!

As for the bottom lash, I used Canmake No.13. Then I thought that the outer corner needed more volume so I added Dolly Wink No.8. I used one of the four strand one.

Apply blush, lipstick and lipgloss.

For blush, you want the colour to be on the sides as that will give you a more mature feel. For lipstick, I used Myth by M.A.C and for lipgloss, Instant Gold by M.A.C

Green Eyemake Tutorial~!

Hello!

Lately I've been trying out different eyeshadow colours. It's fun to play with the colours sometimes. (^^) So I've decided to show you my take on Green Eyemake!

Let's start!

Here are the colours I'm using.

The brown colours are from Maybelline. The green colour that I'm using is my mom's eyeshadow. It'a a random brand so I don't think you would know what it is even if I tell you it's brand...

Apply A to all over your eye area. Then apply B up to your crease and blend. Next, using D, apply it to your eyelid and bring it out slightly.

For the lower eye area, apply D on the outer corner and blend it in till half of your lower eye area.

For highlight, I used Sugarwhite by M.A.C in the inner corners and under the brow bone. Blend it well so that it doesn't look harsh.

Finally, line your eyes with a brown eyeliner and apply false eyelashes. I was too lazy to curl and put mascara on my upper lashes. Hehe... (^^;)

Top Lash- Daiso Straight Type No.7

Recently, a 'Tokyo Street' was built at Pavillion KL! I was already excited to go there even before it was opened and I finally had the chance to go there yesterday!

I have to pin my fringe up because it's covering my eyes already. I guess I'll cut it soon... Hehe...

Recently I've been trying out eyemakes that looks more natural. But... I don't think they suit me that well so I think I should just stick with the darker types? Haha

Upon arrival at Tokyo Street! The lights were so bright so you can see why my grandma and I looked so dark.....

They had a big lantern hung there just like in Asakusa!

Of course, I need to camwhore since I'm in mini Japan right now. Hahaha!

They also had written wishes called Tanabata wishes hung there.

Tokyo Street is divided into three sections. All of the shops there have a Japanese inspired theme.

There's also a Daiso shop there. This branch has more items compared to the one in Sungei Wang. But it's quite crammed in there. (> <)

Lots of Hello Kitty products displayed in one of the shops there! Why isn't there Rilakkuma?! (>w<)

There was also Yukata, Geta, Furisode and other traditional items sold there.

Shimino Crepe~! It's my favourite crepe in Malaysia!

I've tried Strawberry flavour and Banana with chocolate cake one before So I decided to try the Mango one this time. (^^)

If you have the chance to visit Tokyo Street don't forget to try these mochi! They are really delicious!

There were many Japanese restaurants there but I didn't get to try their food. Maybe I'll got here again and try them out when I have saved up some money. (^^;)

So here are some of the things that I bought there...

I bought this sweat suit after seeing them on magazines where they claim that it helps to promote sweat.

I didn't know where to buy them at first until Estee told me that they are available in Daiso.

Hello Kitty sweets!

There are three flavours, Strawberry, Milk and Banana. It is said that they used milk from Hokkaido to make these sweets on the package.

I've tried the Milk flavour and Strawberry flavour so far and I still prefer the Strawberry one. I don't really like Milk flavoured sweets at the first place you see... But they weren't that bad.

Mori girl inspired hairstyle~!

Hello!

Well, recently I've been playing with my new hair straightener that my friends gave me as an early birthday present.

Straightener is not just for straightening hair, it can also be used as a curler!

I'm not wearing a wig, it's my real hair! I made it really puffy like cotton candy~ Haha!

This style was inspired by Mori girls (Forest girls). They always have airy curls or super puffy curls! It's a very cute style!

It's really dolly like, isn't it? So now I'm going to show you how to curl your hair into this!

So here you see how my hair is like before styling. I only brushed my hair to get rid of the tangles.

Hair straightener to the rescue!

This straightener heats up really fast to 180-200 degree Celsius!

First straighten your hair. This is to heat it up before curling.

Next is to curl your hair with the straightener. What you do is you flip is 180 degrees inwards or outwards. Flipping inwards creates curls that curl outwards while flipping outwards creates curls that curl inwards.

I find that the more times you repeat the curling, the smaller the curl gets. Just remember to curl it in the same direction as before!

It's more time consuming for healthy hair to curl it this way. I would suggest you to use a small diameter curler (about 19cm) to create the same effect.

Continue curling the rest of your hair in this manner, Outwards -> Inwards -> Outwards and so on.

When you're done curling, separate the curls by running your finger through them. This will give more volume to the hair.

Lastly, tease it a little bit with your fingers.

Keep continuing this process until you reach the top. Spray to set your hair if you wish to.

And that's it!

Eyemake for this look.

Since it's Mori girls inspired, I tried to keep it as forest girl like.

I used warm tones for this look and also a brown eyeliner to keep it as natural as possible. I didn't wing the ends of the eyeliner that much since I wanted a round eyes look. Even my mascara was brownish!

I love this eyelash as it has a slight brownish tone on it so it helps creating a natural look.

The Reason Behind Unsuccessful Diets!!!

Have you ever tried going on a diet but gained back more fats than before you go on a diet?

If yes, this is called a rebound!

Yesterday, while I was watching some videos on Youtube, I came across this video that explained about why some people gain more weight than before they go on a diet.

I thought it was really nice to understand how our body works so I'm going to tell you what they have said in the video. I'm not very good in Japanese, but I will give my best in explaining the important points to you. (^^)

Summer, the season where people will wear thin clothings...

You, who are thinking of going on a diet, but is facing some troubles.

Here is Nakamura-san who's 52kg before she went on a diet. A month later, her weight decreased to 50kg! However, soon later the rebound process occurred and her weight increased to 55kg! That's 3kg more compared to before going on a diet.

Among 4 women, 3 of them had experienced a rebound process.

So they looked for the best professional in treating overweightness, Ono Makoto-sensei. He was the person who found out the way to measure body fat. Ono-sensei is going to tell us why rebound process occurs!

First, Ono-sensei explained that in human's body, 60% to 70% are made up of water. Even our body muscles contains water. However, only in body fats, water and fats cannot be combined together so there is no water in fats. And by using a electrical body fats measurer, it will tell you how much fats you have on your body.

For women the ideal body fat in her body shouldn't exceed 25% but for men it's 30%.

Then, the guest explained the dies the has gone through. Ono-sensei commented that he thinks that if you lose weight too fast, it's most likely that a rebound process will occur. He also said that no matter what type of diet you are going through, there should be a pause of a month.

The first month of a diet is the most important of all. At this phase, you body is experiencing a major change so if you underwent an extreme diet, it's very likely that a rebound process will occur.

They showed a picture of Takana-san before her diet. She was 57kg. After a month, she was 52kg. However, her weight increased to 63kg soon after, which is 6kg more compared to before she went on a diet.

Ono-sensei then explains how the rebound process occurs. Let's say the daily energy needed is 100. If you eat 100 amount of food a day, you will not gain weight. But if you consume 150 amount of food, the remaining 50 will turn into fats stored in your body.

Let's say a person goes on a diet. The amount of food consumed is 80. This means that there are remaining 20 amount of food left to be filled up with. How will your body fill up the remaining amount? Your body will use the fats stored to fill it up. And this will make you slimmer.

So if this goes on for a month and the person can cope with it, the amount of food needed will decrease from 100 to 80. So if the person continues to consume 80 amount of food for a month, there will be no increase or decrease in the person's weight. And this is called the pause during a diet.

Ono-sensei also explained that if you keep decreasing the amount of food intake, your body will eventually be lacked of energy and it will break down. Many symptoms such as skin break outs, hair fall and menstruation disorder will show.

One of the guest commented that when she was a student, she experienced an apple diet. The results were that her weight decreased rapidly from 50kg to 38kg. However, her hair keeps falling off when she got thinner.

Then, Ono-sensei said that most people don't want to experience a pause in dieting. Since they have decrease their food intake, they hope to see that their weight will decrease too. So they will change their way of eating.

In our body, when we are full already, leptin will send a message to our brain telling us that we're full already. However, when there is not enough leptin due to a very low calorie diet, the signals cannot be sent to the brain hence causing us to uncontrolled food intake.

And there! I've translated all the important points of this video. I hope you learnt something because I sure learnt a lot! Science is usually boring to me but when it comes to dieting stuff, I get really interested in it.

Mini Cosplay Talk + My Cosplay Plans 2011

Do you know what is cosplay?

Cosplay is short for costume play. It means wearing a costume of a character from Anime or a Singer's costume and be like the character when you're in the costume.

Personally, I love cosplay! It's not just about behaving like a certain character while wearing the costume, it's about the fun and hard work you spent while saving money and making the costumes or props.

It might seem to be a waste of time and money for some, but when you try to do something by yourself and achieve results, you will feel much joyfulness. Well, everyone has their own interest right? (^^)

As for me, I started cosplaying since year 2009.

Here's my first cosplay. I felt reluctant to post it up but oh well...

I looked so weird in photos. (> <) I didn't even expect people to be taking my photos.

I was cosplaying as Hiyori Tamura from Lucky Star. Initially I wanted to cosplay as Konata, but being a first timer in cosplaying, I didn't know how to find the suitable wig for the cosplay and came up with this last minute character change.

I have long black hair so I only needed a pair of glasses. Hehe (^^;)

Although is wasn't very good, but I might just cosplay her again? Since I want to perfect my first cosplay. Ahaha...

Here's my second cosplay as Kiyal Bachika from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

I have improved a lot from the previous cosplay, I think. It took me a long time to collect each pieces of this cosplay slowly and I also DIYed some items. You can see them here:

I don't see many people cosplaying Kiyal but she's really cute! Although she only has a minor role in the series, I think her character looks cuter than most girl characters? Haha!

This year will be my third year cosplaying! After confirming it with my mom, I can finally reveal my cosplay plans for Comic Fiesta 2011(CF for short)! \(^^)/

My first cosplay plan for CF will be The Legendary A Girl --- Konata Izumi!!!!!

I'm super excited about this cosplay because I can finally get the wig and to cosplay my all time favourite anime character! Although, I need to dye the wig a bit just like I mentioned before, I'm stil very excited to cosplay as Konata!

I'm going to be happily walking around the venue that day and take pictures of cosplayer. (^^) I don't usually buy doujins like her but I enjoy taking pictures of cosplayer.

For my second cosplay it will be Vita from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha!!!

I'm MEGA excited for this cosplay! I am finally going to try something more complicated this time.

I absolutely love Vita's personality in the anime. She's a Tsundere type that has strong determination and is a good teacher too. I know, she looks small but she really has those qualities.

This cosplay will cost me a lot of money. But I think it'll be worth it as I am not planning for a new cosplay next year. Hehe... (^^;) My estimation right now is that this cosplay is going to cost me around RM650+?

Dusk, The Golden Hour

Hello~

If you have read a little bit on photography, you would know that one of the best timing for photographs to be taken is at dusk. Hence, it is called The Golden Hour.

While I was on my way back during my last trip, I had the chance to watch the sun set from the bus so I thought I should snap a few pictures. (^^)

Recently I've been very interested in taking good pictures. I get tips mostly online and I only have a normal digicam.

It's quite challenging but I like it. (^^) Sometimes it's not about the camera, it's about the photographer, don't you think so?

But I would like to invest in a DSLR in the future too. It looks really fun to be able to take pictures with so many effects.
